Abstract
Taking Design Thinking to School together. The purpose of Design Thinking session is to extend participants' knowledge of the role of design thinking in K12 classroom. We will share ideas and develop strategies for implementing Design Thinking in our classroom. Bring ideas to life.
Session Objectives
In the course of the 5 weeks, you will:
- improve your understanding of Design Thinking
- develop practical ideas for your classroom
- create prototype based on Design Thinking
Target audience
EFL teachers, Teachers (K-12, higher education, adult education).

Week 1 (Jan 8-14, 2017)
Getting Started
During this week, participants will…
- get to know the moderator team
- introduce themselves in a forum and get to know each other
- learn about the mechanics and requirements of the session
Week 2 (Jan 15-21, 2017)
What is design thinking?
During this week, participants will…
- discuss the reasons for exploring design thinking
- locate and share additional videos/articles about design thinking
- discuss about the components of design thinking process
Week 3 (Jan 22-28, 2017)
Planning design thinking project
During this week, participants will...
- understand the elements and steps of design thinking process
- empathize. Learn about your audience's values
- define. Develop the reasons
- ideate. Brainstorm of ideas and encouraging creativity
Week 4 (Jan 29-Feb 4, 2017)
Project developing
During this week, participants will...
- prototype. Does the idea work?
- test. Share the prototype and receive feedback
- implement. Put the vision into effect
Week 5 (Feb 5-11, 2017)
Evaluation
During this week, paticipants wiil
- embed own projects on design thinking poster
- evaluate the session using the official EVO form provided for this purpose

I understand that session moderators are required to participate in the 4-week moderators' training session from October 16 until November 13, 2016.
