Abstract

 

With the quick development of technology in education there has come a fervent need for applying different assessment techniques regularly whether formative or summative ones. Yet what kind of assessment should we use? Thus I would to help the attendees to work with me online through their mobiles or ipads to share in applying different apps to see how easy it is to use them and apply them at their schools. 

 

 

Session Objectives

 

By the end of these sessions, the participants would be able to:

**  Understand the idea of Assessment, its types and kinds

** Know how to apply  Assessment inside/outside class with the least possible obstacles. 

**  Use different Technological Assessment Apps 

 

 

 

Target audience

Syllabus 

 

Weekly Content

 

 

 

Week 1   (Jan 8-14, 2017)

After get introduced and ice breaking. I will start by giving Critical Thinking Questions to open a discussion on Assessment. The Discussion would be the warm up to introduce kinds and types of Assessment. First the kinds of Assessment are to be introduced. Then an application on a lesson for Young Learners would take place. After that the results would be analysed to deduct the types of Assessment through the work done. A sum up of the relation between the kinds and types of Assessment is to be introduced in the form of a mind map. 

 

 

 

Week 2  (Jan 15-21, 2017)

The main concepts of Assessment with the difference between kinds and types of Assessment would be revised once more. The idea of Rubrics would be introduced. Then once more an application would take place for a Teens and Adult Learners lesson.  These would then be revised against the previously introduced Mind Map.  A preliminary Rubrics would be formed together with the attendee teachers. 

 

 

Week 3   (Jan 22-28, 2017)

 

 

Online application on Socrative and Kahoot Apps

 

Week 4  (Jan 29-Feb 4, 2017)

 

Online application on Wiki and Edmodo 

 

Week 5  (Feb 5-11, 2017)

 

A sum up for the work done all through the month with an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages as well as setting up a final Conclusion
